One of my favorite events of the year this festival has some of the best artists in the DC area and is set in historic Washington Grove amongst towering walnut trees. There are food trucks (including an ice cream truck), music, and activities for children.

Alexandria's Chalk-a-block Day
Sunday, September 29th
-
This fun event where chalk artists and various craft vendors are set up throughout north Old Town. I will be outside MadeinALX from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be live music by Maddie Cantrell. There is a chance this event might be pushed back to October 13th if we get too much rain from Hurricane Helene (chalk and rain do not mix). The city will post on the website if there is a change, and I will also update this website.

A selection of my work is at Elements gallery (311 Mill Street, Occoquan Virginia 22125; 703-490-8697). Pam Konwin has a assembled a large selection of fine craft and art. In addition to my wood fired pottery, you find handmade clothing, jewelry, fused glass, and woodwork. If you have never visited historic Occoquan, it is a beautiful town with galleries, restaurants, and chocolatiers.
