This olive oil bottle is made from an almost purple colored stoneware clay called Darkstar. the clay and the effects of the wood firing nicely contrast with the white glaze. It is dishwasher and microwave safe (not sure why you want to microwave olive oil), the only danger is that you may find yourself eating more bread as this bottle joins you on the table. It has a groove on the side where your finger naturally fits. The top removes for re-filling and cleaning. This is a representative picture.

The pots are high fired (2,400F) stoneware. They are wood fired in a wood burning kiln for over 24 hours. As the flame crosses the pots, iron is drawn to the surface so the flames 'draw' permanent flashing marks on the pot, and the ash melts to form a glaze. All work is food safe, and dishwasher and microwave safe.
